Stratice Healthcare Announces Universal Internet Based e-Ordering Solution for Medical Equipment and Supplies
Stratice Expands eOrdersPlus Solution by Electronically Connecting Physicians and Suppliers via Secured Web Based Portal
CARMEL, Ind. – Stratice Healthcare, a leading healthcare IT company providing electronic ordering solutions connecting physician practice offices and hospital systems with suppliers and providers of medical equipment, supplies and other patient care services, today announced an expansion of its eOrdersPlus™ platform to include a secure internet based portal for both physicians and suppliers to initiate and manage patient medical orders.
The expansion allows Stratice’s e-ordering solution that is embedded within physicians’ existing electronic workflows and EHR systems to provide universal access regardless of physician practice patient care management technology platform. The e-ordering solution further increases suppliers’ connectivity to treating healthcare professionals to ensure patients’ orders are more efficiently and reliably managed to promote increased continuity and quality of care. This direct electronic connectivity replaces an otherwise inefficient, unreliable and largely paper-based ordering process currently requiring multiple phone calls, duplicative faxes and time-consuming data entry of paper-based orders.
“We are pleased to build additional value into our eOrdersPlus solution with the addition of the Physician Order Entry and Supplier Order Entry web-based portals. Clearly, with the most recent round of Competitive Bid rate cuts and expansion of those rates to rural markets, suppliers are anxious to reduce unnecessary operating costs associated with the phone calls, faxes, and manual processes related to attempting to complete detailed written orders for patients. The physician community has responded well to our platform and recognizes the efficiencies related to managing these burdensome processes with a technology solution,” stated Jeff Woodham, President of Stratice Healthcare.
News of these latest enhancements to the eOrdersPlus solution suite follows on the heels of a string of recent successes for Stratice including the company’s national rollout of eOrdersPlus to a widespread base of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems providing direct connectivity to over 300,000 healthcare professionals. The company’s embedded EHR e-ordering solution supports its rapidly growing national network of suppliers and providers of medical equipment, supplies and patient care needs who service the patients’ full spectrum of payer coverages including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial health plans.
“Stratice continues to build market momentum through its free network enrollment process and rapid on-boarding of local, regional and now national suppliers. This expanding network of credentialed suppliers provides physicians and their patients choice within a reliable, broad fulfillment network regardless of patient location, specific product need and payer coverage. With such dramatic cuts in reimbursement rates within the HME/DME sector, the industry must quickly evolve to adopt more electronic means of driving operational efficiencies. Stratice’s electronic ordering and patient care solutions are clearly a market necessity and in high demand given multiple industry dynamics,” stated Jason Farmer, CEO of Stratice Healthcare.
